January '10

1-31 - Learn To Ski Month: January 2010. Experience the Thrill of the Hill at Ski Big Bear during January! Are you looking to improve your skills on the slopes? Do you want your children to learn the proper way to ski or snowboard? Ski Big Bear's Private Lessons are an excellent way to improve your technique and have even more fun on the slopes. During January, purchase a Book of 5 Private Lessons and enjoy 20% off the regular price of single private lessons. The best part about the book is that you can share the lessons with your immediate family (lessons must be booked during the current season). Call 570-685-1400 for more information.

Jan. 8 – Feb. 6 - Rail Jams: Ride rails, hit jumps in this 4 week judged competition Friday night’s in the Terrain Park. Entrance fee $5 and all competitors must have a lift ticket. Registration 4-6pm in the Ski School, Competition 7-8pm. Saturday Night Finals: Registration 3-5pm, Competition 6-7pm.

Jan. 10 – March 7 - Sunday Race Program and Rail Clinics: Sunday Race Programs and Rail Clinics are for all ages and abilities. Available non-holiday Sundays from 11am – 1pm. Sign up that day at Ski School.

31 - Winter Carnival 2010: 9am - 4:30pm. Hit the snow for ski/snowboard races, big air contest, rail jam, an all day scavenger hunt, lunch tray races and free Ski Patrol toboggan rides. Then head to the rental shop to register for a free wax and sharpen. Keep an eye out for the Big Bear and other characters roaming the mountain and enjoy Music at the top and bottom of the Mountain and in the Terrain Park.

7 - Military Day at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain: 9am - 4:30pm. Visit Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain for Military Day on February 7th and receive 25% off lift tickets for you and your family. Show your Active Military ID to receive this special Military Day discount. All non-active military customers are welcome to ski at a discount and support our troops by bringing two items for our troops such as: deck of cards, travel size toiletries, non-perishable treats/snacks, batteries, etc. Non-active military customers that donate two items will receive a 15% discount off the regular priced lift ticket. Ski Big Bear appreciates everyone contributing to the packages being sent to the troops. Please consider donating even if you are not skiing this day by dropping items off early. 9am - 4:30pm.

Ski Big Bear President’s Holiday Extended Hours: Feb. 13 – 20, 2010. Open Saturday, Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb. from 9am – 9pm, Sunday, Feb. 21 9am – 4:30pm.

25 - Health Services Night at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain: 4pm - 9pm. Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain is inviting Health Service Employees and their families to receive $15 Lift Tickets & $15 Rentals on Thursday, February 25th from 4pm - 9pm. Show your Employee ID to receive this special Health Services Night discount.

6-7 - United Way Weekend at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain: Saturday, March 6 - Sunday March 7, 2010. 9am – 9pm Saturday, 9am – 4:30pm Sunday. Visit Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain for United Way Weekend on Saturday, March 6th and Sunday March 7th. Bring 2 non-perishable canned goods for our local food pantry and receive 15% off when purchasing your lift ticket. A portion of all proceeds received this weekend will be donated to United Way. Guests are invited to make an individual contribution to the United Way this weekend. United Way Board Members will be available to answer questions and receive donations.

14 - Customer Appreciation Day at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain: Sunday, March 14, 2010. 9am – 4:30pm. All unlimited season pass holders are welcome to bring a friend to receive a complimentary lift ticket this day. All Any Night and Single Night pass holders are invited to enjoy a complimentary day on this Sunday. Additional activities include races, games and music.
