Ski Big Bear is Family Friendly and Affordable!

Lackawaxen, PA, October 28, 2010. Frost will be hitting the pumpkins and parents will be looking for a winter activity that will get the kids out of the house, having fun and burning some energy. Skiing is a wonderful winter sport that is fun for the whole family and Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain in Lackawaxen is right in your backyard. Ski Big Bear has affordable, family friendly season pass and rental options that will make winter much more enjoyable for Mom and Dad.

Any Night Season Passes are valid from 4pm – 9pm any night Ski Big Bear is open beginning December 26. Single Night Season Passes are valid from 4pm – 9pm on Friday or Saturday Night beginning January 7 or 8. Unlimited Season Passes are valid anytime Ski Big Bear is open. Purchase passes by November 15 and save $50 off the regular unlimited season pass price. Season Passes range from $105 - $235 depending on the option that is right for your family (remember to purchase by November 15 to take advantage of the discounted prices on all the season pass options).

Season rentals are a great option for families. They save you time in the rental lines and are more economical than renting each time you ski/snowboard.  If you have growing children, we can accommodate their growing feet throughout the season with no additional charge.  As your skiing improves, you may want to increase the length of your skis and that is not a problem with our season rental program. Season ski/snowboard rentals range from $75 - $125 plus tax.

Ski Big Bear has events throughout the season that each member of the family will enjoy. Kids can show off their talents at Rail Jams on Friday nights. Mom can connect with other Mom’s by joining our Ski Mom’s program. Dad can test out his racing skills during the Sunday Race Program. Our annual Winter Carnival takes place on January 30 and is perfect for the entire family. Activities include ski/snowboard races, scavenger hunt, lunch tray races, toboggan rides and more. Ski Big Bear is the great place for families to stay connected during the winter season.

Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain is open for skiing, snow tubing and snowboarding December 18 (weather permitting) until mid-March.  Visit www.ski-bigbear.com and check out our live web cam, conditions, hours, news/events and more.  Season passes and season rentals are on sale now and additional information is available at http://www.ski-bigbear.com or by calling 570-685-1400. The Mountain Top Village, all built over the last 5 years, includes a country store, skier services building and beautiful 25,000 square foot lodge that is home to a great variety of food and beverage services.
