Camelback Mountain Resort Announces New Terrain Based Learning Programs

Tannersville, Pa. (December 20, 2013) –  Camelback Mountain Resort announces another first - Pennsylvania’s only Terrain Based Learning program, designed to help ski and snowboard beginners learn on shaped-snow terrain before taking on the Mountain.

The new terrain based learning program breaks away from the traditional learn to ski & snowboard approach and will help beginners, ages six and up, progress quickly and safely on custom shaped-snow terrain. Newly constructed Mini-Pipes, Rollers, Banked Turns and a Perfect Pitch slope, all of which are designed to remove fear, counter any beginners’ anxiety associated with downhill sliding and alternatively increase the fun of learning an exhilarating new sport.  Camelback has not only invested in additional snowmaking guns to prepare the slopes for terrain based learning, but also installed two additional Sun Kid conveyor lifts, bring the total number of dedicated learning conveyor lifts to four, more than any resort in the east.

To celebrate the new program Camelback has launched the Explorer Card, which includes three group terrain based learning program lessons, three all-day, lower mountain, beginner terrain lift tickets, and three all-day ski or snowboard equipment rental packages.
