Irish Fest, Rail Jam and Great Skiing!
This Sunday marks the return to Daylight Savings time so we will all miss out on an hour of sleep when we set our clocks ahead but who needs sleep when there is such great skiing?
Conditions are the best we have ever seen in March so make your plans to be at Ski Big Bear this Saturday. Besides great ski conditions, we will have our Irish Fest on Saturday afternoon and a Rail Jam on Saturday evening.
Masthope Mountain Community and The Summit Restaurant will be hosting our 4th Annual Irish Fest from 1:00 - 5:00 in the lodge. Live Entertainment will be provided by The Celtic Martins Irish Band and the McElligott School of Irish Dance. Great food and drink will be available including Killians Irish Red, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Guinness Beef Stew and more! The Irish Fest is open to everyone so bring your family and enjoy!
Saturday evening, we will be hosting a Rail Jam for anyone that wishes to participate. Sponsors include: The Ski Corner, Guenther's Ski Haus, Bear Creek Ski Shop, Alice's Wonderland, Slush Puppy and more. Lots of Prizes and Lots of Fun! Registration will be available in the Lodge from 4:00 - 5:30pm and the competition will begin at 6:00pm. There is a $5 entrance fee. A valid lift ticket or season pass is required. Helmets must be worn by participants. A waiver of liability must be signed and it must be signed by a parent if the participant is under 18 years of age.
We are operating on our normal ski hours through Sunday, March 9th. Hours will be determined weekly as we watch weather and snow conditions. We do expect to be open each weekend through March but details on hours will be announced weekly.
