SEVEN SPRINGS MOUNTAIN RESORT SELECTED
AS EAST COAST’S TOP TERRAIN PARKS AND PIPES
This marks the second consecutive year that the popular Laurel Highlands resort has been named in the national resort poll. In 2009, Seven Springs had the number one halfpipe and had the third best terrain parks on the East Coast.
This year’s selection for top halfpipe comes as the resort’s terrain park staff managed to the take Superpipe to new heights last season. Typically, the Superpipe measures 450-feet in length with 18-foot walls. Last season, thanks to the abundant snowfall and engineering by the staff, it measured just short of 600-feet in length.
The resort’s jump from third place to first place terrain parks can be credited to the staff’s creativity, ingenuity and commitment to providing the best experience for riders of all abilities.
“It’s clear from our readers’ great riding experiences at Seven Springs this past winter, that the resort’s continued commitment to its parks and pipes has resulted in hard-earned East Coast superiority,” said Annie Fast, Editor-in-Chief, Transworld Snowboarding.
“Seven Springs is officially on the map as the place to go on the East Coast for the consistently best park and pipe riding. We stand behind these rankings,” added Fast.
“Holding both the number one pipe and the number one park category on the East Coast is quite an honor,” said Joel Rerko, Director of Action Sports at Seven Springs. “We are showing our dedication to the terrain parks and youth at Seven Springs. Achieving this goal took our entire team and I hope everyone is as excited as I am.”
The November issue of Transworld Snowboarding is on newsstands now.
