Join us at Eagle & The Owl from 8pm to 11pm for live music with Bob Keel!
In a word, Bob Keel is real. He writes from the heart. He writes what he sees. It is untainted and sometimes not pretty. He’s writes of love like it was just discovered yesterday and his songs have a way of penetrating down to your very soul. Bob has performed extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, opening for artists such as: Jerry Joseph, Rusted Root’s front-man Michael Glabicki, The Steel Wheels, flat-picking and master-fisherman Larry Keel, The Clarks, as well as Yonder Mountain String Band guitarist Adam Aijala.
Bob grew up in Jefferson County, located on the Eastern-most tip of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Since discovering a penchant for music in the late 90’s, Bob has earned himself quite the reputation as a talented singer/song-writer. For eight years, Bob ran an open mic wherein he gathered song material from equal parts whiskey and collaborations with the area's emerging talent.
Throughout his musical career, Bob has written, produced, and arranged four albums and has written over 100 songs. In Bob's songs one can hear influences by great artists such as CSNY, the Avett Brothers, Bob Dylan, Peete Seeger, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. Bob is a story teller for those in need of tale.
