WHITETAIL RESORT PREPARES FOR THE 2017/18 SEASON

MERCERSBURG, PA – Cooler temperatures are starting to overtake the mountain and leaves are
beginning to take on the colors of the Fall season. The 2017/18 Winter Season will be here before we
know it and Whitetail Resort is ready to welcome guests as soon as the first snowflakes fly. Over the
past few months, more than 1.1 million dollars went into upgrades that will enhance guest’s over-all
experience while at the resort. The list of capital projects includes: upgraded inventory of new rental
equipment, a full replacement of water lines on the Snow Dancer trail, a new lane shaper and tubing
conveyor belt replacement, preparations for a future trail addition, as well as other various guest
enhancements such as lighting and landscaping throughout the resort.

Guests utilizing rental equipment this year are in for a fantastic experience on the snow as Whitetail
Resort is upgrading and replacing the majority of the rental inventory. Over the summer, around 3200
pairs of Elan skis, 3260 pairs of Dalbello boots, 500 pairs of poles, 400 helmets, and 500 pairs of Flow
snowboard boots will make their way to the rental facility.

The Snow Dancer trail will see a significant improvement to its snowmaking coverage this coming
season. During the last couple of months, our expert crew replaced the entire water line system on the
trail, resulting in a higher flow capacity and better reliability for the snow making system that covers this
trail.

Always a guest favorite activity, Whitetail Adventure Tubing will also be experiencing some upgrades
for this coming season. The guest “Magic Carpet” conveyor belt system has been replaced this summer
and a new lane shaper has been purchased to help ensure fun times will be had by all.

Over the summer Whitetail has put all the finishing touches on the new 31,000 sq ft lodge expansion
that made its debut this past year. Whether it is getting the day started with a hot cup of cocoa in the
Daybreak Café, an Italian specialty for lunch from the Mountain Hearth Pizzeria, or a relaxing dinner
after a day on the slopes in our new Solstice full service restaurant…Whitetail’s newest offerings are
sure to add to an already fantastic experience on the mountain for our guests.

“Each year we strive do our best to improve as a resort to make sure each guest has the best experience
possible. Resort wide, we’re looking forward to great season utilizing this past Summer’s
enhancements.” said Whitetail Resort President and General Manager, Don MacAskill. For more
