Palmerton, Pennsylvania (22 October 2018) Blue Mountain Resort is now offering FREE physical education outreach programs to local schools.  These new programs promote exercise, a love for the outdoors, and a healthy lifestyle.  These programs have been developed to align with the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Health, Safety & Physical Education. We’re excited about the programs and think you will be too!

Blue Mountain Resort recognizes that not every student is able to experience skiing and snowboarding on their own, so they’ve created these new school-based programs for both Third and Eighth grade students!  The goal is to make winter sports accessible to young people by creating an opportunity for them to try it out and it won’t cost them anything.  Why target these two grades you might ask?  Youth ages 8 to 14 are eager to try new activities and build on their existing skills and experiences.  Targeting 3rd grade and 8th grade fits nicely with other offerings and programs we have at Blue!

Blue Mountain Resort is teaming up with Lehighton Middle School’s 8th grade classes for the FREE program.  The resort’s ski and snowboard instructors will be at the school October 29th & 30th for all the PE classes each day to facilitate the program.   The first class will be at 9:45-10:35 and lasts 50 minutes.
