Blue Mountain Bike Park Opens New Beginner Downhill Mountain Bike Trail
Palmerton, Pennsylvania (08 OCTOBER 2020) – Blue Mountain Resort is excited to announce the grand opening of Shakedown Street, Blue Mountain Bike Park’s new beginner downhill mountain bike trail! The trail features over 3 miles of easy terrain, perfect for those new to downhill biking or long-time enthusiasts looking for a leisurely stroll. The grand opening will be this weekend Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th.
Blue Mountain is home to the largest downhill bike park in Pennsylvania. The addition of Shakedown Street brings a total of 25 trails to the park with terrain ranging from beginner to expert. All trails are serviced by our Comet Quad lift, which brings you and your bike to the top of the mountain for each run. Blue Mountain has seen a huge uptick in the interest in downhill biking. Our hope is that the addition of this easy terrain will encourage even more people to give the sport a try.
The park is open through November 1st Saturday’s and Sunday’s 10am-4pm. A day ticket is $40 for unlimited runs down the mountain. 2021 Season Passes are on sale now for $199 and give you free access to the park for the remainder of this season. Our end of season gear sale also kicks off this Saturday, October 10th. All in stock bike clothing, accessories and protection will be 30% off.
