Whitetail offers skiing and snowboarding on 23 trails. The mountain boasts a 935-foot vertical drop, six lifts, a halfpipe and two terrain parks. The resort has a western feel and is decidedly modern. All 23 trails are open to snowboarders along with two terrain parks and halfpipe for skiers and snowboarders. Complimentary ski check; two restaurants and a Starbucks on-site; basket check; lockers; changing rooms; and a seasonal sports shop.
The list of capital projects includes: a major resort base lodge expansion, additional rental equipment, and new lease skis, boards, and boots.
With design elements taken from the existing lodge and feedback received from our guests, the new 31,000 sq ft expansion will feature a brick oven pizzeria, an expanded café, and a full service restaurant on the second floor. The brick oven pizzeria will feature a variety of Italian fare, and will seat 180 people. The café features will include coffee items, such as lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, as well as pastries and other offerings. The café will seat 150 guests. The new full service restaurant will accommodate 300 guests and offer soups, salads, entrées, and a variety of other menu offerings.
Whitetail Resort offers a center-based facility for children ages 6 months to 12 years. Our facility is staffed by responsible and caring individuals who provide a fun learning experience for each child. Our goal is for children, whose parents are out enjoying a great experience on the mountain, to enjoy a great time of their own. Rates and details may be found on our website.
In continuing with our commitment to our entry level skiers and boarders, our entire line of lease equipment has been replaced with new models of skis, boards, and boots. In addition, additional ski and snowboard equipment has been added to our rental inventory to help alleviate any possible shortages during busy days.
Along with the items mentioned above, we continue to plan for large future projects. This includes, but is not limited to, a supplemental reservoir to add additional water capacity to our snowmaking system for future trail expansion.
“We continue to improve and expand our facilities and programs at Whitetail Resort to better meet the needs of our guests,” said Whitetail Resort President and General Manager, Don MacAskill. In addition to the capital improvement projects, Whitetail Resort is busy preparing for their 16th Annual Great Outdoors Festival to be held on October 22th and 23th. Whitetail also offers full service venues for Special Events such as banquets, weddings, and other large gatherings.
