Mount Pleasant of Edinboro - Summer Improvements and Operations
Edinboro, PA– Mount Pleasant is pleased to announce our major summer project. This season, we will construct a new beginner ski and snowboard area complete with a 120-foot-long magic carpet. The magic carpet will supplement the existing beginner area which will allow us to double the terrain and uphill capacity for beginner skiers and snowboarders. This magic carpet will be fully enclosed allowing for an optimal guest experience.
Mount Pleasant is known for being the regions’ premier location for learning winter snowsports, and this additional learning area will only improve learning experience. “The new addition of a magic carpet will not only increase the number of beginners we can accommodate, but more importantly expand on the quality of lessons we can provide,” said Weekend Ski School Director Casey Brown. “The magic carpet will allow for a much simpler and enjoyable learning experience for the younger skiers and snowboarders.”
“We pride ourselves in offering an affordable option for skiers and snowboarders of all ability; however, our specialty is educating beginners. This continued major investment into Mount Pleasant will ensure we are able to provide high quality ski and snowboard lessons for years to come,” said General Manager Andrew Halmi. The lift installation will begin this week and expected to be competed by the end of July. In addition to the new beginner area, Mount Pleasant will install three new snowguns and renovate the rental shop to provide guests with an improved rental shop experience.
