New for 2022 - 2023
Shawnee Mountain Resort is one of the Poconos favorite family ski resorts. Snowmaking covers 100% of all Shawnee’s 125 acres of skiable terrain, of which 90 percent are fully automated. The resort continues to make snowmaking upgrades as part of a multi-year, multi-million-dollar snowmaking project. This year three new fan guns have been added to the beginner’s area, as well as two new efficient snowmaking pumps. With these continued upgrades, you’re sure to enjoy lots of quality snow all season-long. Shawnee is an ideal beginner and family-friendly ski resort. And, this year the resort will offer lessons for first timers to advanced skier and riders online. There will be options for group lessons, packages with rentals and tickets and semi and private lesson, too.

At Shawnee Mountain Ski Area you’ll find 125 acres of great skiing and riding! Located in northeast Pennsylvania, Shawnee Mountain is the Pocono’s favorite family ski resort offering 23 slopes and trails, 2 terrain parks and the Pocono Plunge snow tubing park.

It is a family focused, family owned ski area with a wide range of terrain, 100% snowmaking, night skiing and one of the largest rental facilities in the country.

Night skiing during the season is Thursday through Sunday 3p-9p.. This excludes Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

Shawnee Mountain prides itself on being Beginner Friendly, offering not only great adult beginner packages, but a nationally ranked children’s SKIwee program, Mommy & Me private lessons and the new WEEriders and SkiBaby Program.

Learn to Ski or Ride at Shawnee

Discover a truly Beginner Friendly Skiing or Snowboarding experience at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. Beginner Packages include a Learn to Turn or Learn to Turn Better Lesson at any level using the progressive American Teaching Method. A full schedule of a daily group, private, racing, skiing and snowboarding are all offered by over 150 instructors. Spanish speaking instructors are available.

It's never too early to learn... Lessons start at three years old for skiing and snowboarding. Our highly trained staff will get your kids on the snow and loving it in no time.
